Schneider Electric has become a partner of La Boudeuse and is sponsoring its next two adventures in South America and the Pacific Ocean.
This aim of this mission, which has been officially assigned by Jean-Louis Borloo, Minister for Ecology and Sustainable Development, to Captain Franceschi and his crew, is to study the impact of man and his day-to-day habits on the environment.
“We immediately felt there was a strong link between the activities of La Boudeuse and the environmental preservation and, more generally, the sustainable development activities that Schneider Electric employees carry out for our clients on a day-to-day basis by offering them energy efficient solutions”, said Gilles Vermot Desroches, Senior Vice-President of Sustainable Development at Schneider Electric.
These expeditions will not only provide us with the opportunity to broaden our minds, gain knowledge and develop our strategies, but will also give us the opportunity to continue to build awareness amongst our employees and our partners.
Responsibility, in terms of energy consumption, the environment and corporate social responsibility, lies at the heart of Schneider Electric’s culture and strategy. Sustainable development offers a real opportunity to speed up our growth.
Schneider Electric is committed to providing innovative and effective solutions to respond to two key imperatives:
>placing products and solutions on the market that will help curb energy wastage and promote production and consumption habits that respect the environment.
>promote access to energy the 1.6 billion people who are currently without electricity and sustainable economic development.
