As an energy provider, EDF is taking action to protect the future of generations to come by fighting against global warming, by controlling its environmental impact and by promoting economic and social development in France and throughout the world.

The Group is committed to ensuring that access to energy is available to the greatest number of people, including those living on islands, and to participating in the development of these areas. Indeed, in French Guiana, where La Boudeuse will be carrying out several scientific and human studies, EDF supplies 70% of electrical requirements thanks to the Petit Saut dam, is working on developing solar energy production and is improving access to electricity in inland areas.
