Bombard and La Boudeuse: welcome to Planet Sea

The sea is the setting for all conquests, exploratory expeditions and all things beautiful; it belongs everyone and yet to no one.  From the beginning of time, the sea has captured the imagination of young and old alike, dreaming of the treasures that are carried on the surface of its waters or are buried in its depths. Sailors like Alain Bombard, who are passionate about the sea for the sense of freedom and the promise of discovery that it offers, have come to know its fury as well as its wonders. Though they learnt day after day how to tame it, they never learnt how to master it completely.

Both the origins and the future of life lie within the infinitely rich heritage of the sea – yet today it is under threat. Through greed and often through ignorance, mankind has often mistreated it and has turned this immense source of life into a fragile and, sometimes, even devastated environment.

We believe that in order to better protect the sea, we not only need to get to know it better, we also need to spread this knowledge. It is for this reason that we are supporting those who have been defending it for many years. These sea lovers have long been contributing to exploration, the development of knowledge and to the protection of the marine world.

Because he is pursuing these same objectives, we have decided to support Captain Patrice Franceschi and his ship La Boudeuse, as we have done for the last 20 years. In our view, his mission, one of incredible scope, is of vital importance and we fully believe that he will lead this expedition successfully.

We are extremely proud to be supporting him in this new adventure and we wish him “fair winds and following seas”.
